A kidnapping joke

When I write for my stand-up act, jokes or bits or whatever, it usually starts with a weird idea popping into my head or starts with me seeing or doing something I’d like to poke fun at. I don’t often sit down to write jokes. I’ll sit down to finish ideas and work on them… Continue reading A kidnapping joke

It’s Aromando, say it right

Can you just spell that for me? photo credit: oooh.oooh via photopin cc

My last name is spelled A-R-O-M-A-N-D-O. It is pronounced like ah-roh-mahn-doh or maybe it’s are-o-mon-doe.* People have an unbelievably hard time knowing how to spell or pronounce “Aromando” even though, for the most part, it’s pretty phonetic. Then I think about examples like… Continue reading Something about Instagram and Facebook

How I’ve Influenced the World

It’s been said a person would need to be a narcissist to be a stand-up comic. It’s probably true, I’m certainly not a counter example to this. I have an act, a blog, a Twitter, and Facebook and Google+ pages in addition to my profiles. I push all this stuff ad nauseam and probably annoy my… Continue reading How I’ve Influenced the World

Teaching a Phone to Talk (Part 3)

I have a smartphone. The auto-correct feature for typing is pretty good and allows you to add words to the dictionary it might not otherwise have. As it would be, I have 217 words that I’ve added to my dictionary and most of them are pretty silly/unnecessary. Here is the third part (check out the… Continue reading Teaching a Phone to Talk (Part 3)
