366 days ago I had my first live sketch show with Dictator’s Time Machine and it was at ImprovBoston‘s Sketch Cagematch. I’ve always liked watching sketch but it wasn’t really on my radar until I was asked to fill in an actor-role for one show. A year later and I’m still performing with them. Now we are one of the most booked teams at ImprovBoston and were asked to perform in front of 200+ people as an opening act for Jonathan Katz (on my birthday, no less).

At the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, I was able to take an 8-hour sketch workshop with Kevin McDonald from The Kids in the Hall, a show which I idolize. The workshop was all about taking improvised scenes and turning them into sketches, which was much more difficult than I thought it would be. We managed to have a really good showcase show after it was over that I’m really proud of.

As for the future, starting in December I’ll be performing with, in addition to DTM, the Current Eventuals. More details on that to come (like, when I get them)!

For now, Dictator’s Time Machine is taking on one of its busiest months, culminating in a Halloween-themed show on Wednesday, October 30th in The Comedy Lab at ImprovBoston, a show that shouldn’t be missed!
