The End

Here is the first user submitted photo for me to mock, sent in by Laura Miner:

Beanie Babies were a strange fad. I think any fad that is meant for children but perpetuated more by adults is weird. Beanie Babies were going to be worth something someday! You couldn’t clip off the tags, play with them, or really do anything other than look at them without lowering their “value.” Of course I’ll look like a fool if people 40 years from now are selling these for millions of dollars (or whatever currency we’ll be using in the future).

Anyways, this photo is of a bear called “The End.” An indubitably morbid name for, again, a toy designed for children. Apparently, “One of the ten final beanies of 1999… It was this one in particular that gave the impression that beanies would be permanently discontinued.” Of course, this wasn’t actually the end of Beanie Babies, more of a gimmick to keep them relevant for however much longer they could.
